Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-01

Your financial data never leaves your browser.

StatementCSV processes all PDF bank statements entirely in your browser using Mozilla's open-source PDF.js library. No PDF content, transaction data, account numbers, or personal information is ever transmitted to our servers.

1. What data we collect

StatementCSV does not collect, process, or store any of the following:

  • PDF files you upload
  • Bank account numbers or details
  • Transaction amounts or descriptions
  • Personal financial information of any kind
  • Email addresses or contact information

2. How the converter works

When you use the PDF-to-CSV converter, all processing happens locally in your web browser. The PDF.js library reads your file in memory, extracts the text, and generates a CSV string — entirely on your device. The resulting CSV file is downloaded directly to your computer. Our servers are not involved in this process at any stage.

3. Analytics and usage data

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics to understand how the tool is being used. This may include page views, browser type, and general geographic region. This data cannot be used to identify individual users and contains no financial information whatsoever.

4. Cookies

StatementCSV uses no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party analytics cookies. We may use a session cookie solely to maintain basic site functionality.

5. Third-party services

The only third-party resource loaded by this site is the PDF.js library, served from a CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). Cloudflare may log your IP address as part of its standard CDN operations. Please refer to Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

6. Data retention

Since no user data is collected or transmitted by StatementCSV, there is no data to retain or delete. Your PDF files exist only in your browser's memory during the conversion and are immediately discarded when the tab is closed or refreshed.

7. Children's privacy

StatementCSV is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top. Continued use of the tool after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
